Connie Deming is a treasure trove of eclectic music, with a beautiful voice to share the great songs of others, and the great songs she's written herself. Connie grew up "singing everything I could get my hands on, from Faure and Bernstein to Joni Mitchell and Elton John and the Beatles. I loved it all, picking up the guitar as well, which my father and brother and boyfriend played. When my son was born in 1985, I began to write my own songs."
Steve Piper is a songwriter and performer who is roughly in the folk/country tradition, but who loves Mozart, Stravinsky, Satie, John Coltrane, Hank Williams, Sandy Denny, Miles Davis, Merle Haggard, Capt. Beefheart, Johnny Hartman, those Texas people like Townes Van Zandt, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Guy Clark, Al Strehli, and so much other good music. He also photographs and draws.
Scott Regan is a member of Watkins and the Rapiers, an Americana music band with a folk beat. They mostly play original music written by the band’s four songwriters – of which Scott is one. In the band Scott plays guitar and percussion and sings. He released first solo album "Autumn Moon" in 2013. He’s also an artist and recently released a book of sketches and haiku with friend Jeff Spevak of the Democrat and Chronicle called Jazz Lines. Since 2004 Scott Regan has been introducing listeners to an eclectic mix of rock, folk, and acoustic music weekdays on the radio show Open Tunings on WRUR and WITH. A fan of all kinds of music and strong supporter of the local music scene, Scott often invites local musicians and bands traveling through Rochester and the Finger Lakes area in studio to perform and share stories about their work.
