Its a Sunday Social Ambient Happy Hour, featuring music by of some of our favorite and talented musicians. This week is a triple feature show with music by Rash (Scott Oliver and Patrick Doyle), Natural Habitat and Smaxkult. 20% off all drinks from 4pm-6pm. No cover. All ages.

Rash has been making transcendental improvised music for over 8 years. Combining drone and loops by using open tunings and way too many effects pedals, the duo seeks to create evocative atmospheres in the manner of Brian Eno, Barn Owl, SUNN((O)), and William Basinski. Their recently created project “A Year of Rash” features them recording monthly live improvised recordings with a different guest artist each month.

Smaxkult produces atmospheres that resonate with the holy and profane by layering a variety of horns, vocals, and mouth harps with reverb and looping.

Husband and wife duo Natural Habitat is a psychedelic rock band from Rochester New York. Their textural compositions range from catchy, vocally driven psych-pop to heavier stoner jams. Karrah Henahan-Teague’s dark vocals drone over synth and drum machine, while her tight guitar hooks and Brandon Henahan’s fuzzy bass tones drive songs forward with steady repetition.
